DS106#5-WebAssignment-Google Translate Fail

This is my last blog post for ds106...I have chosen topic from Web section, and chosen "Google Translate Fail". The reasons I have chosen this topic is because I have been thinking that Google Translator is suck for long time, and I hardly use google translator in my daily life. Anyway, I will show you how stupid google translator is...


I first put famous word from Japanese Animation, "One Piece", into Google Translator.


I put “海賊王に俺はなる”（Kaizoku ou ni ore wa naru) which is the famous word that Luffy who is the protagonist of One Piece says in the story.  The proper translation of this sentence is "I will be a king of pirates".

OK...I will put it into Google translator....

1)海賊王に俺はなる→I will pirate king

um...????

the english does not really make sence...it actually need "be" between "will" and "king".

OK....then..I will put "I will pirate king" into Google translator and translate English to Japanese.

2)I will pirate ing →私は海賊王れます(watashi wa kaizokuouremasu)

What????

This translation does not make any sence...!! First of all, you need to put  "にな" between "王" and "れます".

海賊王（king of pirate） is noun, but somewhat Google translate recognize "king of pirates" as verb.

I think the reason why Google translator could not translate correct is because the word "海賊王に俺はなる" has different gramatical order from English.

I recommend all of you guys to put some interesting Japanese words or words from anime or somewhere to put into Google translator, and Google translator make you fun!!

DS106#4-Writing-Tell me a story

For ds106 assignments, I have done three from Visual Assignments so far...so for now I am change category from visual to writing. I picked assignment of "Tell me a story". It is about take a photo of my important item and explain it. I was thinking to explain about my electric dictionary that I have been using since six years ago..but I have the calculator that I have been using it for seven years, so, I picked the calculator as my important item to explain. For most of people, a calculator is just a calculator, but for me, my calculator is very important. OK, here is my calculator....

There is a reason why I bought this elaborate calculator seven years ago.
Because I was in Canada and have been to high school there.
In Japanese high school students don't usually use this type of calculator in high school but Canadian or American students do. So other words, this is my memory of Canada.
By the way, I had taken total six math courses even though I am not math student. I am not really study person, so I was always studying the night before the test. I could not really understand English at first, so it took a whole day for me to understand the materials of the classes. I could not really understand the material, so I asked my Japanese friends and friend from Germany to study together. We usually study at my house, I stayed with host family and they gave me a whole basement to stay, so I had a pretty huge space. Every time, my friends came over, and study together we could not really do study. Instead, we are just hanging out...like...chatting...playing pool...playing video games...etc..

Well....we tried to study together but we couldn't, so I usually study super hard a night before the test...and I had been solving math problems with my precious calculator and study through entire night..and took exams...I did pretty good job on every math exams anyway..so it was good!!

Anyway, this calculator represent my memory of Canada..

I am still keep in touch with my host family and friends from high school in Canada!!

1) Take common everyday object..
2) Save file as JTrim that is free Japanese photo edit software.....this is actually useful and you can edit photos like Photo shop!!
3) Edit with JTrim.
4) Done!!

The color actually images my motivation of every morning.
Because some morning I don't want to wake up...Blue
Some morning I want to wake up...Red or Pink.

DS106#2-Visual-very own Spubble

For second ds106 assignment, I choose Visual assignment about your very own Spubble!!
OK..here is my Spubble!!

I have taken this photo in this summer when I was in California.
I and my friends went to the private beach in Malibu and surfing. Actually the beach was behind Jennifer Lopez's house!! This photo seemingly is not really ironical, but actually it is..because there are a lot of professional surfers on that private beach, and everyone can surf really well...except me!! Actually this was my third time of gone surfing. And in this picture I am look really enjoying, but actually I had terrible suntanning at the moment and I had a fever...so it is not actually time to go to surfing...instead..time to go to hospital..!! Anyway, it was great memory for me to gone to surf.

How did I create this photo?
1) Pick my own photo.
2) save as paint file.
3) Edit with paint software of creating spubble.
4) Make sentence, and insert in the spubble.
5) Uploaded to blogger.
6) Done!!

DS106#1-Visual-Triple Troll Attack, GO!

This is my first ds106 assent!! I picked assignment from Visual, and the assignment is called "Triple Troll Attack, Go!" OK..now..here is my work.

I picked three excellent innovative persons !!

1) Steve Jobs 2) Martin Luther King 3) Mark Zuckerberg

First, I pick Steve Jobs as base picture, because he is the most prominent and famous innovative person today.

Second, I pick quotes of Martin Luther King, because the word "I have a dream" is a key word and origin of innovators' mind. The ways of innovation of Steve Jobs and Martin Luther King is different, but their essence of innovative mind is same.."I have a dream"..so that, they have a dream to change something in this world..that is, I believe, Innovative mind and innovation actually comes from.

Third, I pick Mark Zuckerberg, because he is the most  famous young innovator who found Facebook.
Facebook that he create is now the biggest Social Media...and also the reason why I pick him is because I watched the movie called "Social Network" that is pretty much all about him and Facebook.

I think that innovation is one of the very important things in our society today!! 

How do I create this photo?
1) Search Steve Jobs's picture on Google.
2) Find Martin Luther King's quotes.
3) Save the picture as paint file, and editing with paint.
4) Place the Quote and put the name, Mark Zuckerberg,  under the quote.
5) Uploaded file to blogger
6) Done!!

Weekly blog#4 About Malware

Today, the social media are wide spreading everywhere and make our life fascinating.
For example, "Facebook" and "Twitter" gives us entertainments!!
With the social media development "Malware" , malicious software that contain elaborate designed programming to destroy PC operation, hacking information data, and losing person’s privacy, we became easier to lose the information from our computer. We learned about Malware in the class so far, and it was on the class quiz. So, I assume that most of you guys have some knowledge of Malware.
I have several experiences that I got Malware in my computer. For example, when I was staying at the Hotel, I, first, could not connect the Internet because of my anti-virus system. So, I called hotel stuff to fix my laptop. After he fixed my laptop, I was trying to check my email. At the moment, Malware attack my laptop and start to steal my information data. The reason I got Malware on my computer is because the hotel stuff somehow delete my portion of anti-virus system contains anti-malware.

Also, one thing I think that I have gotten Malware on my computer is because some of my information which I entered some random website, somehow, disclosed to the random other site. So, I am pretty sure that I got Malware and they were hacking my information from my computer.


Not relates to my case, but I learned from the class that we have high possibility getting Malware through Facebook and Twitter.  Specially, Facebook contains a lot of personal information data, so we must need to be careful of Malware when we open Facebook, or especially got friends adding action.


To prevent the distraction by Malware, we have to install strong anti-virus system, setting powerful firewall, and anti-spay ware system.


Now, I am going introduce YouTube video clip that explain about the procedure of protection from Malware attack.



Not only this anti-virus system that introduced in the video clip, but also there are a lot of good anti-virus system that you can remove Malware!!

Beside I am using Norton security software.

Weekly Blogpost#3 :Timmmmyboy-We Are All Artists

I listened to Timmmmyboy's ,Tim Owens, lecture on the radio. I agree with Tim Owen's idea that every one can be an artist. I believe that "art" is pretty much all about collection of subjective view. What I mean is if you think the photo on the wall is such a artistic, means it is art, and person who took that photo can be an artist. Also, if I think my drawing is incredible design, I can be a artist. This is what I mean we are all artist. Beside, Tim Owen think that "we are all artists" because of the point of more like outer factor does not really can be a interference of being an artist.  For example, a creativity is not inherited, a creativity enhance when you feel uncomfortable such as when you are hungry, or fostering creativity, the environment is important.

I surprise about that when people hungry we are more creative. well, I don't really think that when we are hungry we are more creative, because when I am hungry I have no motivation to draw a painting or playing a guitar. And, my brain does not really work when I am hungry because there is no energy in my body. Another thing he mention is that we can improve our creativity with practicing. I think so too, because most of people can be really good at drawing if we practice really hard, and in fact that all of art students in the college practice it every class.

Anyway, Tim Owen strongly states that "ds106" gives us great opportunity and environment to foster our creativity and make us become an artist. I think that something like ds106 that can edit with computer or Internet help us a lot and make us easier to create creativity design or art.

Well, I don't really think I am an artist, but as Tim Owen says, everyone can be an artist, so I think I can do it!!
